RemoteFlight MAP HD serves as a valuable tool for extended flights in Flight Simulator (FSX/FS9/P3D or X-Plane), as well as a beneficial resource for simulator pilots navigating visually (VFR).

The application features a zoomable vector or photo map that synchronizes with the aircraft, showcasing essential flight data on a side panel. Users have the option to select from various map styles, aircraft icons, and measurement units. This enables users to monitor their flight progress while also enjoying a more immersive experience with animated map and aircraft movements, including flashing strobe lights for added realism.

It is important to highlight that this application caters specifically to Flight Simulator enthusiasts and is not designed for real-time flight tracking.

The use of RemoteFlight Server utility is necessary to establish the connection between the Flight Simulator and the device. The RemoteFlight server operates efficiently without impacting the performance of Flight Simulator/X-Plane. To set up the server, you can download it for free from https://www.remoteflight.net/server.

For users interested in testing the configuration risk-free before committing, a free version of the app called RemoteFlight LITE is available for iPhone and iPad.
